Swedish Meatball Pasta Bake

For the Pasta Bake:

  • 8 oz (225g) penne pasta, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, ground allspice, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Cook the meatballs in batches until browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the cooked pasta and marinara sauce until well coated.
