Today, my mother-in-law made dinner with ground beef, but she didn’t rinse it.

Instructions:

1. Cook the Beef and Onions:

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil (if using) and ground beef. Break up the beef as it cooks and stir occasionally.
  • After 3-4 minutes, add the diced onion and minced garlic. Continue cooking until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 5-7 minutes.

2. Drain Excess Fat:

  • If necessary, drain any excess grease from the pan.

3. Season the Beef:

  • Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme (or oregano), salt, and pepper. Stir everything together until well combined.
  • If using, pour in the beef broth for extra moisture and flavor.

4. Simmer for Flavor:

  • Lower the heat to medium and simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • If desired, add your choice of vegetables (bell peppers, mushrooms) and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

5. Serve and Garnish:

  • Remove the skillet from heat.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired.

This savory Ground Beef Skillet is perfect for a quick dinner, and you can easily customize it by adding your favorite veggies or adjusting the seasonings to taste. Serve it with rice, mashed potatoes, or even as a taco filling for a simple yet satisfying meal. Enjoy! 🍽️
