Southern Brisket Grilled Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions:

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place four slices of bread, butter side down, on the skillet or griddle.
  4. Divide the shredded brisket evenly among the four slices of bread on the skillet.
  5. Drizzle barbecue sauce over the brisket on each slice.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese and shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the brisket.
  7. Top each sandwich with the remaining four slices of bread, butter side up.
  8. Cook the sandwiches for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove the sandwiches from the skillet or griddle and let them cool for a minute or two before slicing.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy the deliciousness of Southern brisket grilled cheese!
