Runza Casserole

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned and cooked through.

Stir in the shredded cabbage and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the cabbage has wilted down, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

While the beef and cabbage mixture is cooking, press half of the crescent roll dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, covering the bottom completely.

Once the beef and cabbage mixture is done, spread it evenly over the crescent roll dough in the baking dish.

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef and cabbage mixture.

Roll out the remaining crescent roll dough and place it over the top of the cheese, covering the filling completely.

If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds over the top of the casserole for added flavor and presentation.
