Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Cheesy Smashed Potatoes

Step 2: Add the Cheese

1. Remove the potatoes from the oven and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

2. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 3: Prepare the Garlic Butter

1. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.

2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Drizzle the garlic butter over the cheesy smashed potatoes and garnish with chopped fresh chives. Keep warm.

Step 4: Cook the Steak Bites

1. While the potatoes are baking, season the steak bites with salt and pepper.

2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Add the steak bites to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss to coat them in the garlic butter sauce.

6. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat everything through.
