Don’t Throw Away the Lemon Peel: Put It in a Plastic Bottle for an Effective DIY Solution

Gather the Peels of Lemons: Keep the lemon rinds for later use in recipes or juice. To lessen the bitterness, remove the white pith to the maximum extent feasible.

Get the Bottle Ready: Get a plastic bottle that is dry and clean. Before using it again, make sure you washed it well to remove any residue.

After you’ve gathered enough lemon peels, put them inside the plastic container. Tighten them up a little so they fit better.

Fill the bottle with white vinegar for a cleaning solution or use a clear alcohol like vodka for a natural extract. Choose your preferred method of addition. The oils and essence may be successfully extracted from the peels by using either liquid.

Keep in a cold, dark spot for two to four weeks after sealing the bottle. The infusion’s strength is directly proportional to the amount of time it sits.

After the infusion time is up, transfer the liquid to a new container and filter it before using. Toss the peels aside.
