Butter Swim Biscuits

Serves: 9

Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups buttermilk

1 stick butter

4 tsp baking powder

4 tsp sugar

2 tsp salt

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 450°F.

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Pour in the buttermilk and stir until a sticky dough forms.

Melt the butter in a microwave-safe dish, then transfer it to an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish. Ensure the dish isn’t too shallow to prevent the butter from spilling over during baking.

Drop the dough into the baking dish over the melted butter. Smooth it out with a spatula, ensuring it’s even and reaches the edges.

Before baking, divide the dough into roughly 9 squares.

Place in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops turn a lovely golden brown.
