Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat and Prepare

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Brown the Meat

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or ground turkey over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Break it into small pieces as it cooks.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.

Step 3: Prepare the Creamy Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent.
  2. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
  4. Gradually add a ladleful of the simmering sauce to the cream cheese mixture and stir until smooth. This helps to temper the cream cheese.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture back into the skillet with the remaining sauce. Stir until the sauce becomes creamy and well combined. Season with dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
