- 1 cup light brown sugar packed, or dark brown sugar
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings
- ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips or dark or milk chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil or shortening, divided
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
