Muffin Tin Meat Pies

Muffin tin meat pies are a delicious and convenient twist on traditional meat pies. Here’s a basic recipe to get you started:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of pre-made pie crusts (or homemade if preferred)
  • 1 lb ground beef or any other ground meat of your choice
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as peas, carrots, and corn), frozen or fresh
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: herbs and spices of your choice (such as thyme, rosemary, or Worcestershire sauce)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface and use a round cutter (slightly larger than the openings of your muffin tin) to cut out circles for the pie crusts.
  3. Gently press each circle into the openings of a muffin tin, ensuring that the dough comes up the sides of each cup. You may need to re-roll the dough to get enough circles to fill all the openings.
  4. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it’s browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  5. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef, and cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  6. Stir in the mixed vegetables and beef broth. Season with salt, pepper, and any other herbs or spices you like. Cook for a few more minutes until the vegetables are heated through and the mixture has thickened slightly.
